Speech Befitting the President

I’m not trying to pick on Sarah Palin, really I’m not. I mean, the poor woman lost. Then she had to return all those clothes.
It’s just that I came across a very clever post that goes straight to the heart of what I’ve been saying about both Sarah Palin and George W. That is, that we’ve become so used to the sound of Butchered English, that we accept it. In some circles, it is even valued!
In his post, Andy Borowitz points out that it appears Barack Obama never learned Butchered English, so he’s forced to win American hearts and minds with, well, just English.

The president-elect’s stubborn insistence on using complete sentences has already attracted a rebuke from one of his harshest critics, Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska.
“Talking with complete sentences there and also too talking in a way that ordinary Americans like Joe the Plumber and Tito the Builder can’t really do there, I think needing to do that isn’t tapping into what Americans are needing also,” she said.
