Ann Coulter in 2009

In my last post, I credited President Bush with choosing a gracious tone as he leaves Washington.  It’s generous, and it goes a long way to heal the acromony of the last two years. It helps the incoming administration to set a positive new tone.

Ann Coulter, on the other hand, is doing everything in her power to ensure that the chasm between Americans stays fractured and deep. Who knows how she really feels; her hate-mongering schtick is nothing more than that.  She sells books, and leaves a wake of blue and red anger.

Her timing is wrong. It’s time to use communication for healing. Don’t you think?

Ann Coulter inspires me. If a person with such a limited imagination and vocabulary can make millions by somehow projecting her snarl onto a page (how she does that I’ll never know), employing ‘logic’ tricks that my four year-old nephew could demolish AND have a Matt Chat to boot, man, there’s hope for everyone. Me included! Happy 2009.
